Walk with the animals

Animal Boulevard is Ekka's home of family-friendly animal experiences. Get close to hundreds of animals, watch demonstrations of traditional farm and bush skills, and get involved in interactive displays. Entry to Animal Boulevard is free. It's time to talk to the animals!

Awaken your senses

Stretch your senses as you explore Queensland's primary industries. Hear the squirt and slosh of fresh cows' milk in a tin pail. Run your fingers across the fine fibres of a fleece fresh off the sheep's back. Smell the country atmosphere carried in the hundreds of bales of hay being fed to the animals.

RACQ Insurance Animal Nursery All your favourite farm animals can be found here, including goats, lambs, calves, turkeys, ducks, and chickens. Baby chickens can be seen hatching from eggs in a special incubation area and a photographer will be on-hand to capture special moments.
Dairy Farmers Milking Barn The authentic Dairy Farmers Milking Barn gives you the chance to get hands-on experience as you learn the age-old skill of milking a cow. This is the freshest milk you'll ever find!
Beef Cattle Experience Learn about Australia's vital beef industry and hear talks from farmers about their specific breed of cattle in the daily information sessions in the demonstrations ring.
Sunny Queen Little Miracles Newborn Corner Witness the miracle of life as it happens in the Sunny Queen Little Miracles Newborn Corner. See baby lambs being born and taking their first steps.
Horse Breeds Expo Showcasing 18 breeds of horse, the Horse Breeds Expo is a very popular pavilion and a great place to learn more about these noble creatures.
Feline, Fish, and Puppies Pavilion Fabulous felines will be preened to purr-fection, and playful puppies will beg for your attention. The walls of the pavilion will be lined with aquarium life including colourful freshwater, tropical fish, and crustaceans.
Poultry, Pigeons, Birds, and Eggs Pavilion Visit all the feathery creatures in one handy location at this year's Ekka. See chickens, turkeys, ducks, cage birds, geese, and pigeons on display.
